Andrea Bowen (born Andrea Bowen) is an American actor. Her professional career started with Broadway productions like Les Miserables, The Sound of Music and The Sound of Music. In 2004, she began acting as Julie Mayer on the ABC comedy-drama Desperate Housewives, a role she played on a daily basis until 2008. Julie Alexandra Mayer's parents are Susan Delfino (mother) and Karl Mayer. Julie was Susan's dream child as a young woman. She was a cook, took care of the washing and gave dating advice.
